Today we learned how to write good paragraphs. All of the details should be about the same topic. Then think of a good sentence to start the paragraph and a good ending sentence. These are the topic sentence and the conclusion. Here are some great examples: My family was very busy last week. I spent time decorating and cooking with my husband, my daughter, my son-in-law, and my granddaughter. My son-in-law bought a television on Thursday. My daughter made a decorative candle holder. On Sunday my son-in-law repaired the kitchen panty. The family worked very hard together. We had an enjoyable holiday. I spent time eating, playing, and drinking fruit punch with my brother, sister, and people from the church. The children played memory. The women talked and cooked. The men watched movies. It was relaxing. We celebrated Thanksgiving in my brother-in-law’s house. I spent time celebrating Thanksgiving with my brother-in-law’s family. We cooked turkey. We ate a lot of food. My husband and his brother watched TV. The children played in the park. We went to visit my other brother-in-law. It was a celebration weekend. This weekend was a reunion. I spent time visiting with my family in Atlanta, Georgia. I was very happy because I did not see my brother for 2 years. We played soccer with my nephews. We ate together. We were laughing all the time. It was so nice, we didn’t want to go home. It was a busy day. I spent time shopping with my husband and my daughter on Black Friday. The Kohl’s store was very crowded. My daughter bought a blouse and boots. The price was very good. My husband bought a dress shirt. I looked for things for myself, but I did not buy anything. Then we went home to relax and eat some pie. Everyday we meet new friends. Today I say hi to Wail. I hope you like learning English.
