Today students used 3 objects to describe themselves. We used who-what-where-when-why-how to ask questions and learn more about them.
Grammar points:
"I have been _____ (participle) for ___ years." For example, "I have been married for 17 years." or "I have lived in the US for 7 years."
Present tense: he/she/it gets -s
I have, You have, He has, She has, It has
We have, They have
When we describe a thing, we have to use "it" in English if we don't use a noun.
Example: It is sunny. It is hot. It is summer. It is blue.
but
Summer is hot. The shirt is blue.
Next we worked in pairs to interview a friend. We used this form.
At the end of class, the teacher used the same form and this website to gather information about Martin Luther King, Jr.
Tomorrow we will finish our interviews of a friend and also research Martin Luther King Jr. more. These are some documents we will use if you want to preview them.
