At the beginning of class, we wrote sentences about the Job Fair picture in All Stars. We use "to be" as the verb for many sentences.
Description: He is messy. She is on time. They are in chairs.
Present progressive: He is talking. They are shaking hands.
With "There": There is a blue chair. There are many people.
Here are 2 dialogues about jobs: http://www.eslfast.com/easydialogs/ec/jobs06.htm and http://www.eslfast.com/easydialogs/ec/jobs15.htm. We practiced reading and understanding one. We learned you leave your job when 1) you quit 2) you get laid off 3)you get fired
We ended the class with role play of a job fair. We will continue that tomorrow. Next week, we will learn about what we do with our new job schedule and how we spend our money.
TOMORROW I WILL POST A BLOG CHALLENGE. IF YOU READ AND DO IT, YOU CAN GET A CUPCAKE OR COOKIE.
