ð Use possessive pronouns (mine, yours, his, hers, etc.)
We read All New Very Easy True Stories p. 4 (story of custodian who saves $1.2 million) then answered questions. We practiced using the past tense in questions and answers.
Question: Did he (action)...?
Answer: Yes, he (action in past tense).
Answer: No, he did not (action in base form).
We looked in the packet at reference abbreviations for housing terms. Then we looked at the printed ads for homes to pick a home that we could afford. We wrote down what it had then compared it with a partner.
We used possessive pronouns (mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs) to describe.
Then we wrote a paragraph to tell why we liked our home choice better. We used "and" to describe things both homes had and "but" if they were different.
ex. Mine has 2 bedrooms and hers has 2 bedrooms.
Hers has a washer and dryer, but mine has a dishwasher.
We will share our paragraphs tomorrow in class.
