Let's talk about extremes...
Summer is the hottest season.
The days are the longest.
It is the most humid.
It is the sunniest.
The sun is the closest to our part of the earth.
Are the vacations the best?
We are using the superlative to compare 3 or more things. (Here is a list with many examples.) You can practice the superlative forms of adjectives here:
- match the comparative and superlatives
- review to understand how to form it
- Write the superlative form (remember "the" before the adjective)
- Practice these words then choose 10 you want to learn more. Write a sentence for each one.
After the soccer game, my son came home with the filthiest uniform I had ever seen.

Start with an easy word search. Can you find all of the words? Do you know what they mean? Look up any words you don't know.
Now look at these pictures. The vowels (a-e-i-o-u) are missing. Can you complete each word? Now read them out loud.
