Holidays: All Stars p. 58-59, Red dictionary p. 94-95. We looked at the different holidays of the year, described what people do on those holidays, and compared with what is done in other countries.
All Stars p. 66 We read about each person and their holiday celebrations. We compared forms of "to be" (I am, you are, he/she/it is, we are, they are) and action verbs (What do they do?)
Then we used the models of these sentences and the dictionaries to describe how we celebrate Thanksgiving. We made a final class paragraph.

We assigned a room to each pair. They discussed what chores they needed to do. On Monday, we will present the list to the class and see if everything is ready for the guests. These are the general areas that needed attention:

E & B: shopping Will we use paper plates or have to wash dishes?
A & S: bathrooms Is there an extra roll of toilet paper in case you run out?
ME & V: yard Did you clean up after the dog?
L & K: living room Are there enough places for people to sit?
M & A: kitchen Is there enough ice?
