Warm-up: Students read with a friend. I read Joseph Had a Little Overcoat. Here it is as a song: Joseph Had a Little Overcoat.
We played This and That: “That is a (clothing name)…and points to someone’s clothing item. Then the other says, This is a (adjective + noun)…with an added detail.
Cut-outs: One person looked at the picture and described what the person was wearing. The class picked what it was for. (use dictionary p. 92)
All Stars: p. 76 What is wrong with the clothing? We went over section 1 as a class and practiced 2 in pairs, then 3.
p. 78 We discussed appropriate clothing for a job. approp-ri-"it" in-approp-ri-"it"-ly
Transition to jobs: I passed out community buildings again. Students suggested 3 jobs for each building. As a class, we made the list. On Monday we will discuss "What would the person dress like?" "What would the person do?"
